Our promise

• ▸Would we put a colony in it? No kit gets ranked on its product photos. We verify what ships, check the dimensions and coatings, and judge whether what it does is worth what it costs you in dollars and colony risk. It's the whole reason we exist.
• ▸Independence over payouts. We earn affiliate commissions on some links, but verdicts are set on the merits before money is considered. A brand can't buy a spot, a badge, or a softer sentence. See our disclosure.
• ▸Real numbers, honest limits. Where a dimension or spec is the manufacturer's listed figure rather than one we verified ourselves, we say so. We're a research desk leaning on published extension science, not a bee lab, and we're straight about it.
